Play’n GO introduces a “new face” via its Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead slot

Play’n GO is keeping it in the family with its latest release, Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead, an Egyptian-themed game that promises to engage a new generation of slot players.

Following in the footsteps of her archeologist/explorer father, Rich Wilde, one of the Swedish online casino games developer’s most well-known characters, the vivacious Cat does well in her solo debut.

a new face for a new generation

Game features and symbols:

The 5-reel, 3-row, 10 fixed paylines video slot is set within an ancient burial chamber and features expanding wilds during the base and bonus games along with a max win of 5,000 times the stake. Players will find familiar game symbols including 10-A low pays and premiums scarabs, Anubis, a Sphinx, and, of course, Cat Wilde. Land five of the premiums and score from 7.5x for the scarabs up to a respectable 100x for the star of the show.

Cat first appeared alongside her fearless father in Rich Wilde and the Shield of Athena, which was released on May 28, 2020, and has gone on to be one of Play’n GO’s biggest launches. The solo effort mixes the popularity of a Wilde series adventure with a theme that has proven to be a market topper.

In with the new:

Chief Product Officer for Play’n GO, Martin Zettergren, used an official press release to comment on the new character and the thought process behind the creation, saying…

“Everybody loves the Rich Wilde titles, but we believed it was time to bring in a new face for a new generation of slot players.

That’s not to say you won’t ever see another Rich Wilde title, but we are continually creating new and exciting characters for our games, we don’t rely on rehashing the same ground. We felt the time was right to bring another dimension into the world of Wilde.”

Available to play online now, the high volatility Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead has a 96.25 percent (default) RTP.

Recent releases:

The release is hot on the heels of the Växjö-headquartered developer’s two other slot launches this month, Troll Hunters 2, a sequel to its hit 2013 slot Troll Hunters, and Twisted Sister, a collaboration with the famed American rock band of the same name.

That’s not including the developer’s release of three brand-new titles into the market simultaneously, which includes an innovative new slot Rally 4 Riches, alongside two bingo games based on popular titles from its catalog; Rainforest Magic Bingo and Sweet Alchemy Bingo.
